At BOSS, our annual Golf Day has always been a highlight of the year. It is a chance to bring together clients, partners and friends for a day of friendly competition and networking. This year was special. For the first time, we used our much-loved event to raise funds for a local cause close to our hearts.
A Fantastic Day on the Greens
On Friday 5th July, we headed to the beautiful Burghill Valley Golf Club for a day of golf, connection and community spirit. The course was in fantastic condition, the weather was kind and there was some excellent golf on display.
Special congratulations go to Lisa Weaver from Thorne Widgery, who took first place with an impressive 44 points. A brilliant achievement! ⛳
Raising Funds for the Herefordshire Veteran Support Centre
This year marked the first time our Golf Day became a fundraising event, and the generosity shown was truly inspiring. Together, we raised £890 for the Herefordshire Veteran Support Centre (HVSC), an organisation dedicated to supporting veterans and their families in our community.
The HVSC provides a welcoming space, tailored advice and practical assistance to help veterans access the services and opportunities they need. We are proud to have played our part in supporting the vital work they do.
Signing the Armed Forces Covenant
Following our Golf Day, we are pleased to announce that BOSS has officially signed the Armed Forces Covenant.
This pledge represents our commitment to supporting members of the Armed Forces community, both past and present, as well as their families. From specialist training to recruitment opportunities and workplace flexibility, we are committed to ensuring veterans, reservists and service leavers have the support they need to thrive in civilian life.
Looking Ahead
Our annual Golf Day will always be about more than just golf. It is a celebration of community, collaboration and shared purpose. This year’s success has shown the positive impact we can have when we combine our events with a cause that matters.
